Release notes

Instabase release notes include new features, bug fixes, and other important changes.

For Cloud Console release notes, see the Cloud Console release notes page.

Release lifecycle

Support and maintenance provided under this policy is subject to the Instabase support policy, which is updated by Instabase periodically.

Version numbers are formatted as XX.XX.XX, such as 23.04.0. Each release is fully supported and subject to the Instabase service level agreement (SLA) for at least one year after it becomes generally available. Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) can notify you of the release schedule and assist with upgrades.

Upgrade at least annually to take full advantage of the latest features. Versions are supported until the next year’s corresponding release. For example, 23.04 is supported until 24.04 is released. Unsupported versions are not eligible for new features, fixes, or security patches. If you encounter issues with a version that is no longer supported, you might have to upgrade to a current version to fix the issue.

Feature lifecycle

Instabase adds, changes, and removes features on the platform as needed. Features fall into one of the following stages at any given time.

Public preview

An early access version of an evolving feature. Preview features are labeled and are available to all customers for evaluation and feedback.

Preview features are not recommended for use in production environments as they may undergo significant changes or be removed from the product without notice. Support may be available for preview features, but the Instabase warranty and service level agreement (SLA) do not apply.

General availability

The feature has met our requirements and passed tests to be available for use in production environments. Generally available (GA) features may receive improvements, fixes, and changes in future releases. The Instabase support policy and SLA apply to generally available features.

Deprecated

Deprecated features are planned for removal from the product and are no longer recommended for use. During the time between deprecation and removal, migrate your solutions and workflows to current features. Deprecations, along with the projected time until removal, are announced in release notes and listed on the Deprecations and removals page. The Instabase support policy and SLA apply to deprecated features until their removal.

End of life

End of life (EOL) features are those that have been removed from the product and are no longer available on the platform. Feature removals are listed on the Deprecations and removals page. EOL features and releases are no longer available, documented, or supported.
